Key Stage 3 - Years 7 to 9

In years 7 & 8 students attend ICT classes every other half term.  They learn how to use the computers, printers, scanners etc so that they can be independent with this technology.

They also practice the skills needed to use programs which will apply in other subjects.  They also learn the reasoning and vocabulary behind the programs.

Key Stage 4 - GCSE

Information Technology may be taken as an option in years 10 & 11. ****** 

Those who do not choose this subject follow the short course in IT by being released for fixed periods from their other option blocks.  Those who make good progress may be entered for the examination.

Key Stage 5 - GNVQ IT

Students in years 12 & 13 may choose to do the Advanced GNVQ IT course and may combine this with one A Level.  More information is available on the 6th form pages.
